The Municipality of Aglantzia thanks you for your contribution to a Contemporary European City
The program aims to reward the environmentally conscious citizens who follow the reduce-reuse- recycle moto.
Citizens who apply the above are expected to have a significant reduction in the cost they pay for waste. Inevitably, citizens who are not sensitized will have to pay higher costs.
An average household applying the system is not expected to need more than a purple 56 litres bag per week resulting to a total expected annual cost of € 104.
It is expected that households with fewer residents and / or with full implementation of the reduce-reuse- recycle philosophy will pay even less.
BENEFIT
Limit the use of purple bags to the minimum
Easy and inexpensive to produce of natural fertilizer for plants and trees of your garden via domestic composting
The special bag is available at a number of points of sale and its cost is comparable to the classic garbage bags
The paper waste collection service is provided to the public free of charge.
The municipality, via the bulky items stream, provides a list of licensed carriers that, at a small fee, will transport the waste to the Green Point
The collection is made using the special biodegradable Paper Bag.

The Holistic Waste Management Program is a rational method of waste management that aims to link waste generation to billing. That is, to implement the European Polluter Pays Directive.
The program provides the public with increased recycling opportunities as waste that can now be separated and recycled increases significantly.
